Happy Harbor – Let’s Do Trivia! – 08/10/23 – Blurb

Welcome to the weekly recap!  Let's Do Trivia at Happy Harbor is the place to be on Thursday night.  There is always food, spirits, and fun to be had.  We had a few showers to start the evening.  That didn't keep the die-hards from coming to enjoy the festivities.  The weather improved to match the good vibes from our game.  Here's how the game played out.


Four teams graced the trivia stage last Thursday.  Breakfast Club came ready to meet the challenge.  Brookes arrived looking and feeling fabulous.  Dumb Luck came ready to show off their skill.  The McGees took time out of their vacation to join us (welcome!).  At the end of the first half, Brookes and Breakfast Club were tied for the top spot with 41 points apiece.  The McGees secured third place with 38 points.  Dumb Luck's 36 points were good for fourth place.


The battle continued through the second half.  At the end of regulation play, The McGees held a one-point lead over Brookes & Breakfast Club (those two were tied!).  Dumb Luck was well within striking distance.  The final question required knowledge of the European coastlines.  With answers submitted and scores tallied, we found ourselves with a tie.  I asked all four teams to submit a tiebreaker answer.  I had to build suspense.


Dumb Luck made a power move from fourth to tied for first.  The McGees were the night's big winner with the most accurate tiebreaker answer.  They claimed the top prize.  Dumb Luck was the runner up.  Both teams won Happy Harbor gift cards. Welcome to the weekly recap!  Let's Do Trivia at Happy Harbor is the place to be on Thursday night.  There is always food, spirits, and fun to be had.  Let's recap how it all happened. Our cozy gathering had four teams.  Brookes took an early lead with 41 Points.  Breakfast Club's 40 points earned them second place.  The Crazy Crawfords amassed 35 points and were sole owners of third place.  The Leitchers were in fourth place with a respectable 33 points.  The second half progressed much like the first.  Regulation play ended with Brookes maintaining their lead and all teams in contention for the grand prize.     The final category asked about SNL appearances.  For the second week in a row, the Leitchers found the correct answers and submitted a 20-point wager.  Brookes had the correct order but did not wager.  Congratulations to the Leitchers on their victory.  Both teams won Happy Harbor gift cards. Happy Harbor – Let’s Do Trivia! – 4/21/22 – Blurb

Greetings and Salutations.  Always glad to see the crowd at Happy Harbor on Thursday nights for Let's Do Trivia.  Thanks for supporting our game.      We had 5 teams compete this week.  At the end of the first half, Dumb Luck held a 3-point lead over Brookes.  Boat People and Paratrooper were tied for third place.  Breakfast Club rounded out the ranking in fifth place.  Shout out to the house team, Harbor Dawgs, for their hard work and hustle.        Leading into the final question, Dumb Luck remained atop the standings.  All teams were within the 20-point max bet margin. South American dictatorships was the final category.  In the end, Dumb Luck held their top spot and Boat People took second place.  Both teams won Happy Harbor gift cards.  5 th  Breakfast Club 4 th  Paratroopers 3 rd  Brookes 2 nd  Boat People ($10) 1 st  Dumb Luck ($40) Thank you again to everyone for coming out and spending the evening playing Let's Do Trivia at Happy Harbor!  See you back here on April 28 ...

Happy Harbor – Let’s Do Trivia! – 11/10/22 – Blurb

Greetings and Salutations. Always glad to see the crowd at Happy Harbor on Thursday nights for Let's Do Trivia.  Thanks for supporting our game. Packed house this week. Veteran's Day Eve and the Marine Corps birthday had the crowd in a good mood. Let's get to the game recap. Nine teams started the night's game. At the end of the first half, Breakfast Club led all teams with 39 points.  Dumb Luck and It's Her Birthday were tied for second place.  Fourth place belonged to the Leitchers. Brookes laid claim to fifth place. Kingfisher and Apollo were deadlocked for sixth place. Newcomers C-360 and Spiritwind rounded out our cast of characters. At the end of the second half, the top three positions remained unchanged. Nearly all teams were within range of the leaders.  The final question asked about pro football hall of famers.
